C4DT Digital Trust Fellowship Program

Materials

A full application will require you to:

  • Submit a current CV or resume, including a list of publications if applicable.
  • A policy paper proposal (approx. 500 – 1,000 words) focusing on the questions below.
    • What is the problem you are looking to address, what technologies does it involve?Why is now a critical time to be focusing on this topic?What is the public policy dimension and desired impact of your work?
    • How do you plan on conducting research and developing your policy paper? (Please outline the methods that you will deploy in your research and the proposed timeline.)
  • A motivation statement (approx. 500 – 800 words) that answers the following questions:
    • Why are you interested in the C4DT Digital Trust Fellowship Program and what do you hope to get out of the experience?
    • What is the intended duration of your stay?
    • (If applicable) Which lab would like to join and why?
    • What makes you a top candidate for this Fellowship?
  • List 3 professional references.

The deadline to submit your application package is 31 January 2024 (17:00 CEST). Please apply via our EPFL website. Only candidates who applied through the EPFL website or our partner Jobup website will be considered.

Tips for Crafting a Proposal

  • Try as much as possible to answer the guiding questions for the proposal.
  • Provide proper references to academic and policy sources, wherever possible.
  • Explain clearly the key objectives and relevance of your proposed paper topic.
