Wero payments and the evolution of digital payments in Europe

Europe’s economy now largely runs on digital payments, making reliance on U.S. card rails a systemic exposure. Sanctions, policy shifts, outages, and data-access demands can all cause economic shocks. This is precisely why Wero is both interesting and timely: it is a bank-led, pan-European layer that can reduce strategic dependency. I’m eager to see transparent comparisons of merchant and user fees, dispute models, and information on what data is collected, retained, shared, and protected.

From magic to malware: How OpenClaw's agent skills become an attack surface

OpenClaw is just the latest in a series of AI-powered tools that turn out to be an absolute security nightmare. It is easy (and up to a certain point justified) to blame individual developers for lowering their guard and abandoning good security practices. On the other hand, there is an enormous pressure on developers nowadays to adopt these tools and integrate them in their daily workflows. What these incidents show is the importance of an environment that fosters security not only through educating users, but also through giving them the space to take a step back and ask the right questions.

An Agent Revolt: Moltbook Is Not A Good Idea

This article is interesting because it shifts the Moltbook debate away from sci‑fi “bot consciousness” and toward concrete security architecture risks. What could possibly go wrong when thousands of OpenClaw‑like agents —with full root access to their owners’ machines— are frolicking in a shared, untrusted environment, swapping prompts, payloads, and jailbreak tricks? His advice is gold: use OpenClaw locally if you must, but never, ever connect it to Moltbook. Spot on—hype doesn’t patch vulnerabilities.

10 February 2026: AMLD Intelligence Summit 2026, C4DT track “Assessing the Disruption by AI Agents: Economic, Security and Legal Perspectives”
Where? Auditorium A, SwissTech Convention Center (STCC), EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland
Time? 14h00-15h30 (CET)
Why participate?
As we enter the agentic era, AI agents are increasingly integrated into various aspects of modern life, performing tasks that range from personal assistance and financial management to complex decision-making in industries. These AI agents, driven by powerful algorithms, are transforming how we interact with technology and each other. However, their proliferation also introduces significant challenges, such as cybersecurity vulnerabilities, economic and business disruptions, ethical dilemmas, and privacy concerns. This conference aims to delve into how AI agents could challenge existing systems and structures while exploring strategies to mitigate these threats effectively. Industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders will convene to discuss the implications of AI agents and collaborate on building a resilient future that harnesses their potential responsibly.
This track is organized by the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT), EPFL.

11 February 2026: AMLD Intelligence Summit 2026, C4DT track “AI & Media, how to secure and verify info?“
Where? Auditorium A, SwissTech Convention Center (STCC), EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland
Time? 14h00-15h30 (CET)
Why participate?
AI empowers journalists by rapidly accessing and analyzing vast document sets, but it also brings risks: it can be misused to unmask anonymous sources or to fabricate convincing misinformation. Without strong governance, AI may hallucinate, creating false or defamatory claims. In this track we highlight the needs and tools for robust safeguards to ensure AI strengthens, not undermines, integrity in journalism.
